Exclusive Household Staff was founded by John R Pettman who has been involved within the domestic staff area for over 15 years, following a successful career working as a Butler/Estate Manager and Lifestyle Manager within the private sector.
John’s first position was at Buckingham Palace, followed by a move a couple of years later to the British Embassy in Paris. At the British Ambassador's Residence John was part of a small professional team of Butlers providing excellent front of house services, ranging from small lunches for heads of state to large garden parties, catering for over 2,500 guests.
Since leaving the Ambassador’s residence, John has been employed by some high profile families, managing multiple properties and staff worldwide - his knowledge and expertise are second to none. John has an excellent reputation within private service and has managed in excess of twenty domestic staff worldwide at any one time. After spending over a decade within private service John turned his attention to recruitment within private residences. He could not quite understand that when he was a client recruiting staff for his principals and as a candidate himself, most of the consultants at other domestic staff agencies had never worked within a private house. Therefore, how could they fully understand what was required or provide guidance to clients?
Prior to the launch of Exclusive Household Staff, John worked for one of London's Domestic staff agencies for almost five years. With his guidance as the Recruitment Director the company grew to be one of the most reputable and highly regarded domestic staff recruitment agencies in London.
John believes that he is in a unique position enabling him to meet with clients, understand their needs and introduce only the most highly qualified and experienced staff to match specific and exacting requirements.
