A top opportunity has arisen for an experienced House Manager to come on board to manage an established team of household staff within a high profile family residence in NW1. It is vital that you have a proven record of a ‘lead by example’ approach as you will be managing both up and down whilst also being hands on’ when necessary. The Principals require extremely high standards to be delivered as well as detailed attention and an immediate response to their requests. The ideal candidate will be used to working in a fast pace residence of a similar standard. This is an ideal role for someone who already has the management experience yet is still hungry to develop their career. There is scope, once you have proven your capabilities and gained the trust of the Principals, to take on further responsibilities managing the other family properties worldwide. The Principals appreciate the challenges of such a role and are therefore willing to pay a top end salary for the candidate who can deliver.
Essential requirements for the role:
Proven experience working as a House Manager within a private formal, staffed residence managing a domestic team
Glowing references from previous employers
Be flexible and understanding that as the House Manager the buck stops with you, so you must be used to being 'on call' and available for the Principals and staff
Confident and happy to serve the Principals on occasions
Flexible for occasional travel
It would be very desirable if the House Manager has a combination of service and management background
Please note although the working days are Monday – Friday, you will be expected to be available by phone and email outside of these hours and on occasions work some weekends.
There will be no travel initially however the House Manager must be prepared that over time he/she may be expected to travel either ahead or with the family.
