This is a full-time role with part-time Nanny duties.

Ideal candidate will live in the local area of Richmond-upon-Thames, UK.

As a full-time Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within a residential family home. You will perform various cleaning duties to ensure a sanitary and comfortable space for occupants and visitors.  Your attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness will contribute to creating a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.

As a full-time Cook, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and serving high-quality meals to residents in a private household.  You will collaborate with the client to produce a weekly menu, shop for ingredients and kitchen staples, and prepare healthy nutritious meals and snacks for the client and his children when necessary.

As a part-time Nanny, you will be required to care for a 10 year old child on a week on/week off basis, and provide adult supervision for her older sister (16) and brother (18) during some weekends/school holidays. Collecting young child from and dropping off to school/clubs as and when required. Supporting the child to get ready for school and preparing for bedtime when client is away. Overnight stays may be required on an ad hoc basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors, carpets and rugs.
  • Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and countertops.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and surfaces.
  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces.
  • Dispose of trash and recyclables in designated containers.
  • Make beds and change linens as required.
  • Wash, fold, and iron clothes and linens.
  • Maintain stock of cleaning supplies
  • Follow established procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and disinfectants, ensuring safe handling and storage.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and guidelines at all times.
  • Report any maintenance issues or repairs needed to supervisor.
  • Plan, prepare, and serve high-quality meals for the household.
  • Maintain, clean, and organise kitchen environment, including proper storage of food items and utensils.
  • Utilise proper food handling and safety techniques to prevent contamination and ensure food hygiene.
  • Cook meals using various techniques, such as grilling, sautéing, baking, and frying to achieve desired flavours and textures.
  • Plate and present meals attractively, considering visual appeal and portion sizes.
  • Collaborate with household members to plan menus for special occasions, events, or gatherings.
  • Shop for and manage inventory and stock levels of food supplies, groceries, and kitchen equipment.
  • Clean and maintain kitchen equipment, appliances, and utensils, following manufacturer's instructions.
  • Create a loving, nurturing, and stimulating environment.
  • Meet the children’s social, emotional, and physical needs.
  • Supporting the child to get ready for school and preparing for bedtime.
  • Assist with care and hygiene.
  • Tidy up after self and children (kitchen after meals, tidying toys at the end of the day, etc).
  • Take the child to and collect from school/clubs, provide healthy snacks, and help child with homework when client is not home.
  • Take the child on age-appropriate outings, put the child to bed and read bedtime stories when client is not home.
  • Adhere to house rules with regard to tech time for the children.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure efficient and thorough running of the household.
  • Respect the privacy and confidentiality of residents and visitors.
  • Provide excellent customer service and address any concerns or requests promptly and courteously.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
  • The Employee has to perform the assigned tasks carefully and needs to adhere to the house rules.
  • The place of work is the Employer’s home.

Requirements:

  • Full clean driving licence.
  • Proven experience as a Housekeeper/Cleaner, Chef, and previous experience with children essential.
  • Knowledge of cleaning/cooking techniques and materials/equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and thoroughness in performing tasks.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform repetitive tasks.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
  • Good communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Willingness to undergo background checks or screenings as required by employers.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
