Live-out Estate Manager

North London, Salary £55,000-£65,000 per annum

A diverse and interesting role has arisen for an experienced Estate Manager with a demonstrated track record in overseeing and managing refurbishment, landscaping and maintenance projects.  Supporting a charming and very busy HNW Executive family with their beautiful homes, there is plenty of scope in this role for someone who enjoys a busy and involved role.  Detail-driven and able to see the big picture, while working autonomously and involving the Principals on key decisions when necessary.  Your skills will have been demonstrated over time supporting HNW/UHNW families with their estates and households. Coordinating a team of contractors including an interior designer, project managers, suppliers and trades.  Good IT skills (Mac/MS Products).  You will work closely with the House Manager/Private PA and backstop them during holidays or busy periods. Travel to Cotswolds might be weekly to monthly.

Key areas of responsibility:

  • Overseeing and managing refurbishment, landscaping, and maintenance projects.
  • Overseeing, sourcing and coordinating a team of contractors including builders, interior designer, project managers and contractors.
  • Managing finances including invoices, bank accounts, and employee expenses.
  • Establishing and maintaining systems that help the fabric of the households run smoothly pertaining to the property management including filing, inventories, contacts, manuals, rotas, and invoicing.
  • Producing and continually updating a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule for both properties.
  • Carrying out an annual review of all major expenditure items, particularly for utilities and service providers, to ensure that the most efficient option is in place.
  • Creating and implementing an out-of-hours matrix for emergencies.
  • Ensuring that all household and building insurance is up-to-date and documents are kept on file.

Skills:

  • Have minimum 10 years, and a successful track record delivering on the above.
  • Ability to multi-task and work quickly and efficiently.
  • Excellent contacts and strong supplier relationships.
  • Anticipates client’s needs.
  • Have good people skills – being a good coach, communicating and listening well, having empathy and being supportive, with a good sense of humour.
  • Be a good problem solver, self-directed and manage tasks on their own, with a good understanding of technology.

Salary: £55,000-£65,000 depending on experience
