Our UHNW clients based in Runnymede, Surrey are seeking a bright, dynamic, flexible, sensitive, organised, responsible, discreet, positive live-in Au Pair/Mother’s Help /Family PA for their 12 year old daughter and 15 year old son - who is home at weekends.

A Mother’s Helper/Au-Pair/PA with a great attitude and willing to learn and be trained up would be welcome, as would a more experienced pair of hands who is adaptable to family needs and ways (salary will reflect experience). Flexible attitude is essential as the dynamics of home/work life vary - school holiday times when the family is home can be extremely busy, and term time weeks when the Principal is home and a hands-on parent can be more structured. Sensitivity as to when to allow family space will be important for this live-in role and an ability to be fluid to changing needs or plans.

This exciting temporary 3-6 month role, covering driving children, feeding and cooking with children, laundry for children, cleaning children’s bedrooms, arranging dental and doctor appointments, distributing medicine, overnight responsibility when Principal is away, ordering uniforms for school, planning holiday activities, engaging (playing some cards, games, sports, music, chatting) with children rather than letting them be entertained by tech too much when home. Less of a hands-on role with these older children, and more of an adult presence and mentoring/caretaking role when required.

Duties include, but not limited to:

  • School pick-ups
  • After-school clubs and weekend activities
  • Driving when required
  • Feeding and cooking with children
  • PA duties
  • Planning holiday activities, engaging (playing some cards, games, sports etc)
  • Animal care for two friendly dogs
  • Occasional overnight proxy parenting

Candidate requirements:

  • At least 3 years' experience within a UHNW residence
  • Legal to work in the UK
  • Creative and developmentally focused
  • Proven admin and PA experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, organised, confident, professional, and discreet
  • Driver essential
  • Up-to-date passport - travel may be required
  • Flexibility is key
  • Equestrian knowledge a bonus

Working days: Generally Tuesday - Saturday - with flexibility depending on the family's schedule
Working hours: 11am–8.00pm – flexibility essential
Salary: Dependent on experience
Contract: Permanent employment
Start date: ASAP
Accommodation: Living quarters are on site and include a flat with a private entrance, private bedroom and ensuite bathroom. Living room and full kitchen is shared with other staff during working hours
