An excellent opportunity for a Live-out Steward/Butler to join a fully staffed property on a prestigious estate in West Oxfordshire. Our client seeks a hands-on, flexible, and proactive candidate for this role, a candidate who can anticipate needs and deliver excellent formal food and beverage service to the principal, family and guests at all times.

Duties will include:

• Formal table service. This to include silver, butler, family, and buffet style food services
• Formal beverage service
• Care of the wine cellar (working under experienced Head Butler)
• Cleaning of all silver items
• The receiving and making welcome of all guests
• Retrieving of guest’s luggage from vehicles and delivery to their rooms
• Unpacking and packing of guest’s luggage as required (training can be given)
• Preparing of hot beverages for guests as required
• Operating dishwashers to clean pantry cutlery, glass, and china

Candidate Requirements:

• 5* boutique hotel and/or hospitality experience or previous private house Butler experience
• It is essential that you maintain a positive relationship with the principals and their guests
• Strong communication skills along with flexibility and being a team player are all essential
• Must have the ability to harmoniously integrate with travelling household team
• UK Full Driving licence is essential

Working Days: 5 days a week
Working Hours: 10 hours on rota system
Salary: Negotiable for the right candidate
