This is a unique role for a Couple who have experience of working in remote areas, and offer skills gained working in Exclusive Use Venues and/or 5* hotel experience.
The location is an island in Scotland to which access is by a 2 hour ferry ride. The Estate on the island consists of an Exclusive Use Venue (9 bedrooms), and a hotel (18 bedrooms), and are a mix of luxurious individually designed suites and 2 self-contained apartments to the level of 5*.
The Estate also includes various water activities, stalking, clay shooting, Loch fishing and more, so plenty of activities for guests to immerse themselves in during the day.
There are a team of staff who work on the Estate but the requirement is for a Couple to be hands-on (housekeeping duties), yet also have the capability to be front of house and step up to management responsibilities in time. This is not a role for the faint-hearted. Certain times of the year, ie summer, are extremely busy with guests. Winter months are quieter but still plenty to do but with a reduced team of local staff. This is when the venues will require deep cleaning and maintenance issues will need to be rectified.
The Couple will be expected to work tirelessly to ensure only the highest standard of experience is provided to guests whilst they reside on the Estate.
You will be responsible for all aspects of monitoring the housekeeping department and ensuring that the cleanliness and maintenance standards are kept throughout the venues. You will be required to lead by example and be hands-on during both busy and quieter times.
For the other role, there are maintenance duties and issues which have to be resolved and land to tend.
You should be competent in handling the various requests from guests so strong communication skills are imperative.
You must be self-managing, proactive, and capable of working with and developing a team (many of whom are local) to deliver the highest standards and recognise areas which need improvement whilst maintaining strong and diplomatic communication with the Estate Management Team.
Sensible, practical, mature and level-headed with solid knowledge gained from previous proven experience. The right candidates will bring a wealth of experience, life skills and sense of energy which will add to what is already a highly diverse operation.
If interested in this position, please respond with your most recent CV's and references from your previous employers.
