Our client, with a large Country residence in the Cotswolds (Gloucestershire), is looking to appoint a new Domestic Couple to start immediately.

This is not the client's main residence and they have their other residences, including their primary residences in the States and Europe.  The main property itself is 6-8 bedrooms and there are other outbuildings on site that also house the gym, guest accommodation, and garages for the cars.

They do have children, a mixture of younger and older (one at University), who live either independently in the UK or younger ones with them in the States.  There are also animals on site including two dogs and pet pigs!  So must like animals.

The residence is mainly in occupation during the Summer period and occasional Christmas'.  There is also an Estate Manager (who the Couple will report into), a Chef, and the family often bring a team with them.

The Couple will be expected to:

  • Oversee the running of the household, hands-on housekeeping.
  • Facility management, responsible for overseeing the pool cleaning (there is an outside contractor), ensuring lightbulbs are changed and terraces are cleaned, moss is removed etc.
  • Family style cooking.  They have a Chef, however, they would also need the Couple to be comfortable cooking on occasion, or able to if needed!  No cooking for large groups.
  • Vehicle maintenance.
  • Light gardening (there is a gardening team).

Hours: Monday to Friday when the clients are not in residence.  Longer hours when they are, with time taken back in Lieu

Accommodation: Separate on the estate

Salary: £55,000 gross per annum
