Our client, a private family residing in Kensington, are seeking an experienced, hands on, highly organised Tutor for their 2 children.

The ideal candidate will be bright, trustworthy, possess a flexible nature, and fundamentally have a passion for children. It is desirable you come from a teaching background or have experience with supporting primary age children with their education/homework.

Both children are very musical so it is preferred that the nanny has an interest in music too – it is essential that you can play the Cello or Violin, if you also play the piano that would be a huge bonus!

This will be an afterschool position, starting from around 3pm until 7pm. Typically working Monday to Friday, with the flexibility to provide additional support over the occasional weekend and during school holidays (paid as overtime).

Duties include:

  • Assistance with homework
  • Supervision of music practice, as well as playing alongside the children
  • Scheduling additional tutors and music teachers if needed
  • Organising activities during the school holidays
  • Occasional weekend cover

The family employ a housekeeper/cook so the fundamental part of this role is education and music focused.

Location: Kensington
Contract Length: Permanent
Start Date: February 2022

Children: 2 children

Working Days: Monday to Friday
Working Hours: circa 24 hours per week

Salary: circa £26,000 - £30,000 per annum
