A warm and welcoming family of five based in Ham, Richmond is looking for an experienced, proactive family housekeeper to help manage their busy household. With three children and both parents working full-time, the family is seeking someone dependable who can take ownership of the home and help maintain a clean, organised and calm environment.

You will work closely with the family PA, who supports the household’s wider operations.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Household Management

• General cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, mopping, bathrooms, kitchen)
• Rotational deep cleaning (e.g. fridge, oven, cupboards)
• Laundry and ironing, including delicate fabrics
• Changing bed linen and towels
• Keeping wardrobes, pantry and storage areas organised
• Managing dry cleaning
• Weekly grocery shopping
• Light family cooking / kitchen preparation
• Replenishing household supplies and managing cleaning inventory
• Taking out rubbish and recycling

Household Support & Errands

• Running household errands
• Receiving and organising deliveries
• Liaising with the family PA regarding tradespeople and maintenance
• Ensuring household appliances are functioning properly
• Hoovering inside family cars
• Packing and unpacking for family holidays
• Deep cleaning while the family is away
• Basic garden tidying (e.g. sweeping leaves)

Light Childcare Support

This is primarily a housekeeping role

• Occasional nursery pick-up
• Assisting with bedtime routines when needed
• Helping organise school bags, sports kits and uniforms
• Supporting a calm after-school routine

Additional Hours

• Occasional weekend work with prior notice (paid)

Requirements

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain)
• Previous experience working in a private household
• Experience around children
• Full, clean UK driving licence
• Proactive, organised and reliable
• Trustworthy, discreet and able to work independently

Desirable

• Experience working in a Kosher household
• Strong family cooking skills
• Spanish speaking is an advantage
• Interest in a long-term role
