Our client is looking for a travelling Butler for a residence in Kensington, London.  They require a candidate with previous private house experience who can multi-task and prioritise duties, great communication skills, and excellent attention to detail.  We are looking for somebody that can assist the current House Manager and Head Butler with a variety of tasks so flexibility is key for this role.

There will be an element of travelling with this role, there will be a summer season in the South of France and also assistance at the principals shooting estate during winter.

Duties will include:

• Meeting and greeting guests
• Travelling to the country residence during the shoot season
• Travel to Europe over the summer months
• All aspects of food and drink service for lunch and dinner parties
• Co-ordinating and purchasing food for the household cook
• Inventory and stock management
• Care for silver, china, crystal, art
• Table settings / floral arranging
• Running household errands
• Management of the house – tradesmen, general running, wine stock
• Valeting, packing and unpacking

Candidate Requirements:

• Positive attitude
• Flexibility
• Willing to work Saturdays/Sundays
• At least 2-3 years’ experience in private households with verifiable references

Working Days: Rota system with work on the weekends
Working Hours: 40 hours a week
Salary: Negotiable based on experience
