Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced, French-speaking Day Nanny / Governess to join a high-net-worth family based in Holland Park, London. This is a live-out position, working in collaboration with an established Rota Nanny to provide consistent, high-quality care and developmental support for twin boys aged 17 months.

The role will have a strong focus on early years education, with an emphasis on creating a nurturing, stimulating and structured environment that supports the children’s cognitive, linguistic and physical development.

This position would suit a proactive, engaging and developmentally focused candidate, ideally with a background in Montessori education, nursery settings, or similar early years environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Supporting the daily care and development of twin toddlers alongside the Rota Nanny
• Planning and implementing engaging, age-appropriate educational activities
• Creating a stimulating environment that encourages learning through play
• Supporting key developmental milestones, including language acquisition, motor skills and social development
• Establishing and maintaining structured daily routines
• Incorporating a Montessori-inspired approach where appropriate
• Promoting French language development through immersion in daily activities
• Working collaboratively with the Rota Nanny and wider household team
• Maintaining clear communication with parents regarding progress and development
• Providing occasional flexibility to cover rota Nanny absence if required
• Accompanying the family on occasional travel

Candidate Requirements

• Native or fluent French speaker
• Currently based in London with the right to work in the UK
• Strong early years experience (ideally from 12–18 months onwards)
• Background in Montessori, nursery, or early childhood education highly desirable
• Experience working in private households preferred
• Confident supporting the development of multiple children (twin experience advantageous)
• Proactive, organised and highly engaging approach
• Flexible and team-oriented mindset
• Up-to-date First Aid certification and DBS
• Excellent references and a proven track record of longevity in previous roles

Additional Notes

• Candidates should ideally be located within a 45–50 minute commute of Holland Park
• Flexibility is required for occasional additional cover and travel (compensated accordingly)
