Schedule: Monday to Wednesday, with the potential to increase to four days per week

Overview

An excellent opportunity has become available for an experienced, proactive and highly organised Housekeeper / Cook to support a warm and welcoming family based in Hertfordshire.

The family are seeking a long-term addition to their household who can become a trusted and valued member of their home team. This position will suit a candidate who enjoys creating a calm, organised and efficient household environment whilst preparing healthy, high-quality meals for the family.

Although this is not a childcare position, the family have young children and are looking for someone who enjoys working within a busy family home and is happy to prepare nutritious meals suitable for both adults and children.

Duties include:

• Planning and preparing healthy, high-quality family meals
• Weekly menu planning and food shopping
• Preparing meals in advance for busier days
• Maintaining a clean, organised and well-stocked kitchen
• Managing household supplies and replenishing stock as required
• Coordinating household deliveries where necessary
• Laundry and ironing duties
• Changing bed linen
• General household organisation and light housekeeping duties
• Ensuring the home runs smoothly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous experience working within a private household in a similar role
• Be an accomplished cook with a passion for healthy, nutritious food
• Be highly organised, proactive and self-motivated
• Possess excellent housekeeping and household management skills
• Be trustworthy, discreet and reliable
• Be comfortable working within a busy family environment
• Enjoy being around children and preparing meals suitable for young family members
