Role Summary:

A professional and detail-oriented Laundress/Wardrobe Manager is required for a private household in Kingston. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of the family’s wardrobe care, ensuring all clothing, linens, and personal items are maintained to the highest standard. This is a meticulous and hands-on role suited to someone with strong wardrobe management experience within a private household or luxury setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Expert handwashing of delicate garments and specialist fabrics
• Washing and care of household towels and bed linen
• Ironing and pressing garments to a pristine finish
• Steaming jackets, shirts, and delicate items
• Treating and removing stains effectively and safely
• Cleaning and polishing shoes to a high standard
• Managing minor clothing repairs and mending when required
• Treating clothing and wardrobes for moth prevention
• Packing and unpacking for travel, ensuring items are organised and properly presented
• Maintaining a well-organised wardrobe system, including seasonal rotation
• Ensuring all laundry equipment and materials are stocked and maintained

Candidate Requirements:

• Previous experience as a laundress, wardrobe manager, or similar role within a private household
• Strong knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment treatment
• Excellent attention to detail and pride in delivering impeccable standards
• Discreet, reliable, and highly organised
• Ability to manage workload independently and prioritise effectively
