Live-In Domestic Couple
Location: Primarily East Sussex (3 days per week) with regular duties in Roehampton Gate, London (2 days per week). Travel will be required for property oversight and occasional family travel.

About the Role

The principals own a large private estate in East Sussex with additional residences in Roehampton, London. They seek an experienced and flexible Household Couple or Individual to manage daily housekeeping, cooking, childcare (when required), and general household operations across their properties.

Key Responsibilities

Housekeeping & Estate Care (East Sussex)

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the main house, guest house, and staff cottage
• Laundry, ironing, linen changes, and care of fine fabrics
• Organisation and upkeep of all rooms, including kitchens, bathrooms, and reception areas
• Cleaning and maintaining external furniture, BBQs, terraces, and balconies
• Full property turnaround for guest house lettings

Cooking & Meal Service (when family is in residence)

• Prepare meals for family and guests (up to 10+ people)
• Menu planning, shopping, and maintaining kitchen organisation
• Provide breakfast, lunch, dinner, and occasional event catering

Household Management

• Stock management and inventories
• Running errands and managing deliveries
• Liaising with contractors and overseeing maintenance projects
• Ensuring smooth day-to-day running of the household

Driving & Vehicle Care

• Family and guest transfers, including airport runs
• Regular upkeep and maintenance of household vehicles

Gardening & Roehampton Duties

• Light gardening at the staff cottage and Roehampton properties: planting, mowing, pruning, weeding, pressure washing, and equipment upkeep
• Oversight and upkeep of staff accommodation, storage, and garage areas in London

Travel

• Accompanying the family on trips (up to 3 weeks in summer and Christmas)

Candidate Requirements

• Full-time flexibility, including evenings and weekends when family is in residence
• Proven experience in high-level housekeeping, cooking, and household management
• Confident in catering for up to 10+ guests
• Clean driving licence
• Strong organisational skills, discretion, and ability to work independently or as a couple

Salary: £80,000 DOE
