Live-in Domestic Couple – UHNW Estate, Northamptonshire

Overview:

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a highly experienced Live-in Domestic Couple to join a fully staffed, stunning private estate in Northamptonshire. The principals reside at the property on weekends, and the estate operates as a working environment producing its own meat and fresh produce.
The successful couple will have proven experience working within UHNW private residences, accustomed to collaborating seamlessly with a full household and estate team, including an Estate Manager, Housekeepers, Gardeners, and Groundsmen. Longevity and discretion are essential.

Housekeeper Responsibilities:

The Housekeeper will be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of presentation and service throughout the residence, including but not limited to:

• Full housekeeping duties across a large country residence
• Daily cleaning, deep cleaning, and seasonal rotation
• Laundry care, ironing, and wardrobe management
• Fine fabric and garment care
• Bed making and household organisation
• Stock control of household supplies
• Liaising with other household staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
• Supporting with service when required
• Assisting with food preparation when necessary

Houseman/Driver/Butler Responsibilities:

The Houseman will take responsibility for the smooth operational running of the property, including:

• Driving duties (confident UK driving essential)
• Managing a high volume of daily deliveries and collections
• Logging, organising, and creating detailed inventories for deliveries
• Butler-style duties, including formal and informal service
• Setting tables and serving
• Assisting the Estate Manager as required
• Ensuring the residence is guest-ready at all times

Shared Responsibilities:

• Care of a large dog, including feeding, walking, and general well-being
• Cooking fresh, healthy, homemade meals when the chef is not working
• Flexibility to support the wider household team as needed
• Maintaining discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism at all times

Working Schedule:

• 5 days per week, including every weekend
• 2 consecutive days off during the week
• Working hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm
• Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the principals and estate
• Must own their own car
