Live-in Gardener

Our clients are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gardener to maintain and enhance the grounds of their residence in the South of France, near Ramatuelle. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of horticulture, experience working within high-end private estates, and a proactive, hands-on approach.

This role is responsible for ensuring the gardens and outdoor areas are maintained to an exceptional standard throughout the year.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and maintaining soil, including earthworks and weeding
  • Planting, nurturing, and protecting a variety of plants and greenery
  • Pruning and, where necessary, felling trees and shrubs
  • Carrying out light landscaping and masonry work (kerbs, slabs, paving, etc.)
  • Safely using and maintaining gardening equipment, tools, and materials
  • Ensuring full compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
  • Managing and disposing of garden and site waste appropriately

Candidate requirements:

  • Relevant horticultural qualification (BEP/CAP or equivalent)
  • Ability to speak English; French is advantageous
  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within a private estate
  • Highly discreet, trustworthy, and reliable
  • Proactive, with strong problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional and approachable, with the ability to remain unobtrusive
  • Hands-on and capable of working independently

Accommodation:

  • Bedroom within the main residence, with private bathroom provided

Salary:

  • €3,000 net per month
