Live-in Governess/Governor
Accommodation: Family flat in nearby village or access to villa close to family home
Working days and hours: After school weekdays during term time, intensive on Saturdays, occasional Sundays as needed
Salary: Please present expectation
Location: Milan, Italy (may also travel with the family)

Our client, a busy international family living just outside Milan with six children (ages 13, 11, 10, 8, 5, and 3), is seeking an experienced Live-in Governess/Governor to focus on the education and academic support of the older children. You will also have the family's Nanny/Housekeeper to support you.

Responsibilities to include:

  • Providing 1:1 and small group tuition for the four older children (ages 13, 11, 10, 8)
  • Supporting homework completion and study skills development
  • Teaching key subjects: Maths and English for the primary-aged children; Science, Geography, and History for the elder two in Secondary school
  • Developing bespoke learning plans tailored to each child, including SEN support (eldest child has ADHD)
  • Coordinating with the Nanny to ensure consistency across routines and educational support
  • Occasional supervision and support of younger children if needed

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must have an EU passport
  • Experienced Tutor or Governess with strong background across both Primary and Secondary curricula
  • SEN experience highly desirable
  • Organised, disciplined, and able to motivate and engage children of varying ages and learning styles
  • Calm, patient, discreet, and professional
  • Preferably fluent in English; Italian a bonus
  • Non-smoker
