Live-in Guardianship & Mentoring – Munich, Germany

About the Role

We are seeking a trusted live-in guardian and mentor for a motivated IB Diploma student. This is a bespoke role focusing on academic oversight, guidance, and stable adult presence rather than day-to-day childcare. The successful candidate will support a bright and independent young adult, providing structure, encouragement, and mentorship during the school year.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily academic guidance, monitor homework, and ensure study routines are maintained
• Offer structured support and encouragement, acting as a role model and mentor
• Liaise with school or teachers as needed
• Support healthy routines, including light meal preparation
• Foster independence while maintaining appropriate boundaries

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be:

• Responsible, trustworthy, and mature
• Experienced in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or youth guidance
• Familiarity with international schools or the IB curriculum is highly desirable
• Organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Warm, supportive, and encouraging while fostering independence
• Preferably fluent in English and German 
• Non-smoker with a clean lifestyle and culturally open-minded
• Able to provide a minimum of four professional/personal references
• In possession of a valid police clearance and working with children certification (or German equivalent)
• EU work rights or valid visa
