Our Clients, an American couple who have a large property in Wiltshire, are searching for an experienced live-in Housekeeper.  The role is to start as soon as they find the right fit.  The couple have another property in the US, however, are spending more and more time in the UK and plan to be in residence in Wiltshire approx. 8 months of the year.

They have a Couple employed at the residence already, who will also support with the housekeeping approx. 20 hours per week.

They have two small/medium dogs who will need some care too, so must be dog friendly.

Must be able to drive.

Must be super-efficient, personable with a happy demeanour.

Daily duties:

  • Feeding the two dogs twice a day and walking the dogs
  • Care of the dogs, taking to the vets, and maintaining their records
  • Tidying up the kitchen after breakfast
  • Ensuring all rooms are cleaned to a high standard
  • Wardrobe management
  • Taking deliveries
  • Go on occasional errands; drive as required, eg train station; shopping
  • Manage inventory — especially day-to-day staples
  • Flexible to provide support on the evenings where they are entertaining, including setting table and light serving

Accommodation: 3-bedroom cottage until the refurbishment of one part of the house is complete.  You will then have own bedroom, bathroom and self-contained area.

Hours: 40 hours (sometimes more when in residence).  Hours are self-managed when not in residence.

Salary: £500-£550 net per week
