Live-in Nanny / Cook – Lisbon, Portugal

We are seeking a dedicated, caring, and flexible Live-in Nanny/Cook to join a family in Lisbon.  This is a hands-on role focused primarily on providing loving childcare whilst also preparing meals for the family. The ideal candidate will be independent, reliable, and passionate about caring for children, with a willingness to learn and grow within the role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive, loving, and age-appropriate care for the children (ages 2, 4, and 6), including play, learning activities, and daily routines.
• Prepare healthy, balanced, and enjoyable meals for the children and family.
• Help organise and maintain the household, including tidying up after the children and managing basic household tasks.
• Travel with the family as needed.
• Be flexible with days off, occasionally swapping days to accommodate the family’s schedule.
• Demonstrate dedication, pride in work, and a proactive approach to caring for the children and the home.

Requirements:

• Experience with children is required; a natural affinity and enjoyment in caring for them is essential.
• Must speak Portuguese; Spanish is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Willingness to learn and develop additional skills as needed.
• Flexible, adaptable, and reliable.
• Long-term commitment preferred.
• Must hold an EU passport or have legal rights to work in Portugal.

Employment Details:

• Live-in position at a private family residence in Lisbon.
• Days off: Tuesday + Wednesday, plus one weekend off per month.
• Contracted through the family company with a 1-month trial period.
• Salary: €950 net/month during trial, with review and potential increase based on performance.
