Job Title: Live-in/out Housekeeper
Location: Godalming, Surrey
Start Date: ASAP (family willing to wait for the right candidate)

Overview:

Our client, a family residing on a large private estate in Godalming, Surrey, is seeking an experienced and professional Housekeeper to join their established household team. The role can be offered on a live-in or live-out basis. The household consists of two principals, their 20-year-old son, and their much-loved dogs. The successful candidate will work alongside the Head Housekeeper and a wider team, including Junior Housekeepers, Gardeners, and Security staff. Being a supportive team player is essential.

Key Responsibilities (include but not limited to):

• Carrying out all hands-on housekeeping to a consistently high standard
• Daily cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and polishing
• Laundry management, including washing, ironing, and wardrobe organisation
• Tidying and maintaining household organisation systems
• Running errands as required
• Assisting with household organisation and storage solutions
• Training and supporting junior housekeeping staff
• Occasional pet-related duties (must be dog-friendly)

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ professional housekeeping experience in a private household
• Proven longevity and stability in previous roles
• Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
• Discreet, trustworthy, and professional
• Positive, proactive, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
• UK driving licence essential (a work car can be provided for duties)
• Flexibility with working hours when required
• Must have the legal right to work in the UK

Working Hours & Schedule:

• 5 days per week, including weekends (rota arranged fairly)
• 9am-6pm
• Flexibility required as and when needed

Accommodation:

• Live-in option available (details to be discussed, with several options on the estate)
• Live-out candidates also considered

Salary: £35,000 – £42,000 per annum, dependent on experience
