This is an exciting challenge for an experienced Palace Manager, who can also ideally offer 5* Hotel experience, to work in Qatar for a high profile family (Parents and two grown up adult daughters).
The purpose of this role is to improve the level of service throughout the Palace, which means you will initially be required to be 'hands-on' in various areas. You will be managing a team of 30+ staff including Housekeepers, Head Housekeeper, Chefs, Laundresses, Therapists.
Experience of working in the Middle East is preferable but not essential.
It will, without doubt, be hard work and an initial period of time will be spent proving your overall management skills and level of delivering high standards in every area of the Palace. Your efforts will be welcomed by the family and once everything is 'back on track' it will be a matter of maintaining the levels and ensuring that the staff understand that standards cannot slip and they should always be reaching to deliver all services to a 5* hotel standard.
You will need to be firm with the staff, lead by example, and use your people management skills to prevent internal issues. Etiquette and serving of VIP Guests is another particular area which needs to be addressed and greatly improved.
Hours of work will be long. However, once everything is running more efficiently within the Palace, your efforts will be recognised and a more structured day in terms of working hours will be encouraged by the family who will wish you to stay long term.
