Position: Live-out Head Housekeeper/House Manager
Location: Private residence, Pall Mall, London

Schedule:

• When principals are in residence: 8:00am - 6:00pm
• When principals are not in residence: 8:00am - 4:00pm

Contract: Full-time, permanent
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Overview

A lovely family of four (with two older sons) is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper/House Manager to oversee the smooth running of their residence. This is a hands-on role requiring excellent housekeeping skills, strong leadership, and the ability to liaise effectively with both the family and their wider team, including colleagues based in the US.

The ideal candidate will be discreet, highly organised, and capable of delivering the highest standards of service in a UHNW household. The role may include occasional international travel and will be well remunerated for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee the housekeeping team, ensuring the home is maintained to the highest standards at all times
• Carry out hands-on housekeeping duties, including cleaning, organisation, and laundry care
• Manage household schedules and ensure smooth operations whether the principals are in residence or not
• Provide food and beverage service when required, with a focus on polished and professional presentation
• Communicate effectively with principals and international team members (often via phone, text, or email)
• Maintain household inventory and liaise with suppliers as needed
• Ensure discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism in all duties
• Accompany the family on occasional international travel when required

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ housekeeping experience, with at least 2 years in a Head Housekeeper role
• Previous experience working in UHNW households essential
• Strong communication skills in English; native English speaker preferred but not essential if communication is clear and fluent
• Excellent housekeeping and laundry skills with a meticulous eye for detail
• Professional experience in food and beverage service highly desirable
• Yachting background considered an advantage
• Proven longevity in previous roles and excellent references (to be verified directly)
• Candidates need to live within 35 minutes of Piccadilly
