We are looking for a highly experienced Live-out House Manager for an International family based in London. You must have experience in running formal large properties for high profile families.

Well educated (University degree or similar) candidates would be preferred, and you must be prepared to be hands on, and understand how to efficiently maintain a house at the highest level, being confident to step in and take an active role.

Duties would include, but not be limited to:

  • Identifying and ensuring that any maintenance issues are dealt with
  • Liaising with contractors and monitoring quality and deadlines for works done and service provided
  • Daily visual checking of both inside & outside house including all technical rooms & equipment (IT, audio-visual, lighting, room temperatures & humidity, etc)
  • Staff supervision in order to ensure an impeccable maintenance of the property up to the Principal’s standards
  • Staff management: working rota, timesheets, holiday planning, staff issues handling
  • In charge of the staff house maintenance & management
  • Administrative tasks: household budget & cash flow management
  • Contractor & supplier database management
  • Stocktaking & re-stocking
  • Dealing with incoming email, telephone, fax and post
  • Carrying out specific tasks and/or projects requested by the Family
  • Assisting the Family & guests with specific requests (restaurant reservations, special events organization, etc)
  • Occasional chauffeuring duties
  • House errands & shopping
  • Health & Safety Management
  • Surveillance company supervision
  • Securing the house during the Family's absence
  • Liaising with Family Office & other property managers

Qualities required for this position would include:

  • Execute the position with passion and have a good eye for finer details
  • Must hold a driving licence as on occasion you may be required to perform Driver duties
  • Be immaculately presented and very organised
  • Able to perform admin tasks/computer skills with ease
  • Good communication skills (written & oral)
  • Highly motivated, reactive and deal quickly with situations
  • Have a good knowledge of London contacts and contractors
  • Flexible in working hours/days

This will be a 5 day working week position.

To start ASAP with salary negotiable depending upon experience.
