Live-Out Housekeeper

Salary: £45,000–£50,000 GPA (DOE)

The Role

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced and highly professional Housekeeper to join the private household of a UHNW family based in Central London.
The successful candidate will be switched-on, proactive and genuinely take pride in their work, with the ability to consistently maintain a five-star standard of housekeeping. You will be confident working as part of an established household team and understand the discretion, attention to detail and flexibility required when working within a private UHNW environment.

This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for someone looking to become a valued member of an established household. The existing team has an impressive average length of service of approximately 10 years, reflecting the family's commitment to their staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining the household to an exceptional five-star standard at all times
• Daily cleaning, tidying and organisation of the property
• Ensuring all rooms and areas are presented to an impeccable standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care as required
• Handling delicate, luxury and high-value items with the utmost care
• Assisting with packing and unpacking for the family when travelling
• Preparing the property ahead of the family's arrival and departure
• Working closely with the wider household team to ensure the smooth running of the property
• Assisting with other household duties and responsibilities as required
• Maintaining a proactive approach and anticipating the family's needs wherever possible
• Adapting to changing priorities, particularly when the family is in residence
• Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Travel

The role will involve international travel, for periods of up to approximately four weeks at a time.
When travelling, accommodation will be provided, together with a daily travel allowance/payment for each day that travel is required.

The successful candidate must therefore be comfortable travelling internationally and working flexibly within a private household environment.

The Ideal Candidate:

• Have proven experience working as a professional Housekeeper, ideally within a private UHNW or luxury household
• Have exceptionally high standards and an excellent eye for detail
• Be proactive, organised and able to work independently
• Be discreet, trustworthy and understand the importance of complete confidentiality
• Be calm and adaptable when priorities change
• Take genuine pride in their work and consistently deliver a five-star standard
• Be a team player who is happy to assist wherever required
• Have excellent communication skills
• Be comfortable working around principals and adapting to their requirements
• Be flexible when the family is in residence
• Be genuinely looking for a long-term position within a stable household
• Fluent English preferred but not essential
