Live-Out Housekeeper
Location: Kensington, London
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 GPA

Our clients are seeking an experienced, hands-on Housekeeper to join their busy household in Kensington.

The family consists of two Principals and their four children, aged between 14 and 21, as well as two small dogs.

The successful candidate will be a confident and experienced Housekeeper who is comfortable working as part of a larger household team and maintaining exceptionally high standards. A warm, personable nature is important, alongside a hardworking, proactive and hands-on approach.

Duties to include, but are not limited to:

• Hands-on housekeeping to an exceptionally high standard
• Working collaboratively as part of a large household team
• Supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the residence
• Handle and care for fine art, antiques, and specialist surfaces with precision and discretion
• High-end laundry, including the care of delicate and fine fabrics
• Liaising with dry cleaners where required
• Wardrobe management, with a particular focus on the Principals' wardrobes
• Packing and unpacking for both the Principal and Principal's husband
• Unpacking and putting away Ocado and other household deliveries
• Ensuring wardrobes and personal belongings are kept organised and presented to a high standard
• Flower arranging and maintaining fresh flowers throughout the home
• Ordering household supplies and ensuring stock levels are maintained
• Occasionally preparing a light and simple lunch for the female Principal
• Liaise effectively with the wider household team to ensure smooth daily operations
• Occasionally assisting with the family's two small dogs, including short 10–15 minute walks at the beginning or end of the working day when required
• Assisting with other ad hoc household duties as needed

​Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role within a formal, private, fully staffed household
• Highly organised, discreet, and professional with an excellent eye for detail
• Confident in caring for luxury furnishings, fine fabrics, and specialist materials
• A proactive, positive team player, flexible and adaptable, with a cheerful, willing, can-do attitude
• Genuine pride in their work and seeking a long-term role
• Fluent English speaker
• Comfortable around dogs and willing to assist with short walks when required
