An experienced and hands-on Maintenance Assistant/Handyman is required to support the smooth running of a private household in Mayfair. This is a varied role combining general maintenance, housekeeping support, and back-of-house organisation within a high-standard environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out routine maintenance checks and minor repairs (including painting)
• Report and monitor any damages, faults, or maintenance requirements
• Liaise with and oversee external contractors
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of back-of-house and service areas
• Manage waste and recycling in line with household procedures
• Monitor and replenish household supplies and stock
• Assist with house preparation and daily reset as required
• Ensure all areas (including outdoor spaces) are clean, tidy, and well maintained
• Support the wider household team with ad hoc duties (luggage, moving items, service support)

Standards & Conduct:

• Maintain a professional, discreet, and well-presented appearance at all times
• Adhere to household policies, health & safety, and procedures
• Be punctual, reliable, and flexible to the needs of the household
• Work collaboratively with the House Manager and wider team
• Carry out additional reasonable duties as required

Candidate Requirements:

Experience & Skills:

• Previous experience in a similar role within a private household or hospitality setting
• Strong practical maintenance skills with excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and organisational abilities
• Able to work independently and take initiative

Desirable:

• Trade qualification (e.g. painting & decorating, plumbing, electrical)
• DBS check
