A prestigious private residence in Belgravia is seeking a skilled and experienced Live-out Residential Maintenance Engineer to join their household team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical and plumbing systems, with gas training considered a distinct advantage. This is a full-time, hands-on role suited to someone with a professional and discreet manner, ideally with experience working in a high-end hotel or similar luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out day-to-day general maintenance and repairs across the residence
• Perform electrical and plumbing troubleshooting, installations, and repairs
• Monitor and maintain mechanical systems, lighting, heating, and water systems
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment and systems are operating efficiently
• Liaise with external contractors and oversee specialist works when required
• Maintain a log of maintenance issues and service schedules
• Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards with minimal disruption
• Respond promptly to ad-hoc maintenance requests, especially when principals are in residence
• Provide occasional support on weekends or outside regular hours, as needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a high-end residential or 5-star hotel setting
• Strong knowledge of electrics and plumbing; gas certification is a bonus
• Professional, discreet, and trustworthy
• Able to work independently and take initiative
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Flexible and adaptable to changing household needs
• Fluent in English preferred, and eligible to work in the UK

Salary: Circa £40,000 DOE
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (9:00am – 5:30pm or 8:00am – 4:30pm)
Flexibility: Required to work occasional weekends when principals are in residence
