A prestigious private residence in Belgravia is seeking an accomplished and proactive Maintenance Engineer to join their dedicated household team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically skilled professional with strong electrical and plumbing expertise, and gas training considered a valuable advantage.

The role is full-time and hands-on, ideally suited to someone with a polished, discreet approach, and prior experience in a luxury residence or 5-star hotel environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance and repair works throughout the residence
• Diagnose and resolve electrical and plumbing issues, including installations and repairs
• Monitor, service, and maintain mechanical systems, lighting, heating, and water systems
• Undertake regular inspections to ensure all systems and equipment operate at optimal performance
• Coordinate with external contractors and supervise specialist works when required
• Keep accurate records of maintenance issues, repairs, and service schedules
• Ensure all work is completed to exceptional standards with minimal disruption to the household
• Respond efficiently to ad-hoc maintenance requests, particularly when principals are in residence
• Provide occasional support outside normal hours or at weekends, as required

Ideal Candidate:

• Demonstrable experience in a similar role, ideally within a luxury private residence or 5-star hotel
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems; gas certification is advantageous
• Professional, reliable, and highly discreet
• Confident working independently with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
• Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable to the evolving needs of a private household
• Preferably fluent in English, with full eligibility to work in the UK
