This role is ideally suited to individuals who appreciate historic properties, a peaceful countryside lifestyle, and a hands-on approach to estate living. The principals are creative professionals (artist, photographer, and designer) who value the heritage, character, and natural beauty of the estate, and are seeking like-minded individuals who will respect and enjoy its rustic setting.

The Estate

The property centres around a beautifully preserved four-bedroom Tudor-style manor house, rich in period character and traditional craftsmanship.

Additional features include:

  • A self-contained guest suite within a converted barn (studio, bathroom, kitchenette)

  • Cutting and vegetable gardens
  • Greenhouses
  • A large summer house with cooking facilities and open fireplace
  • Multiple barns and outbuildings, with ongoing maintenance projects
  • A historic church bordering the estate

The estate is located near Bradworthy, with Holsworthy and Bideford providing nearby amenities.

Accommodation

  • A furnished one-bedroom cottage on the estate (rustic and traditional in style)
  • Bathroom renovation scheduled in the near future
  • Access to a separate studio building with wood-burning stove (private use)
  • Potential for future bathroom installation
  • Option to accommodate occasional overnight guests

Included: Electricity, gas, and internet
Not included: Council tax and TV licence

Candidates must have their own vehicle for personal use.

Working Hours

  • PAYE employment
  • 3-year contract
  • 6-month probation period

Ideal Candidates

We are seeking individuals who:
