Rota All-Rounder (Housekeeping / Family PA Focus)
Location: Canterbury, Kent
Hours: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off – 24-hour cover (with structured daily breaks)
Contract: Permanent, live-in whilst on duty
Start date: ASAP
Salary: £50,000 per annum

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced, organised, and proactive All-Rounder to support a busy professional single-parent household based on the outskirts of Canterbury, Kent.

This is a household-led role with a primary focus on high-level housekeeping and family PA duties.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of the household during working weeks, stepping into a warm, steady “mum-style” presence to ensure the smooth running of daily life. The family have three children (B14, B5 and G3) and a small, friendly dog.

Spanish or German speaking would be advantageous, though this is not essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Housekeeping & Household Management:

• Full cleaning and upkeep of the home to a high standard
• Laundry care, including washing, ironing, wardrobe management and hand-washing delicates
• Changing bed linen and maintaining bedrooms and bathrooms
• Kitchen management, including cleaning, fridge organisation and stock rotation
• Grocery shopping and household supply procurement
• Managing stock levels and minimising waste
• Running errands and coordinating dry cleaning
• Plant care and general household organisation
• Feeding and caring for the family dog

Family PA & Organisation:

• Managing the children’s schedules, sports clubs, appointments and any other activities
• Liaising with schools and nurseries where required
• Organising uniforms, school bags and activity preparation
• Managing day-to-day household budgets
• Placing online orders and overseeing deliveries

Childcare:

• School runs
• Overseeing routines and ensuring structure within the home
• Providing a consistent, calm and reassuring adult presence
• Occasional childminding support, particularly following parental work commitments
• Supporting homework routines when required
• Cooking for the children

Requirements:

• Proven experience working within a private household
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to take initiative
• Calm, discreet and emotionally intelligent
• Confident driver with a full, clean driving licence (essential)
• Own car preferred
• Flexible, adaptable and comfortable working in a sole-charge capacity during rota weeks
• Right to work in the UK
