Night Nanny – SEN Support

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:00pm – 7:00am

Overview

Our private client, based near Holland Park, is seeking a kind, experienced, and proactive Night Nanny to provide overnight care and support for her 12-year-old son. He has autism and a recent diagnosis of epilepsy, and requires a calm, consistent presence to help establish and maintain a restful night-time routine.

The ideal candidate will bring a gentle, understanding approach, while remaining confident in managing any medical or behavioural needs that may arise during the night.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide overnight care and supervision, ensuring the child’s safety, comfort, and well-being.
  • Create and maintain a calm, nurturing environment that encourages restful sleep.
  • Monitor the child closely in relation to his epilepsy, responding appropriately to any medical needs or disturbances.
  • Work collaboratively with the mother to develop and follow a structured bedtime and sleep routine.
  • Offer reassurance and emotional support to promote relaxation and stability through the night.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting children with autism and/or epilepsy.
  • Calm, patient, and empathetic nature with a consistent yet gentle approach.
  • Confident managing night-time care, including responding to medical or behavioural situations.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work closely alongside the parent.
