Our client, with a residence in South Buckinghamshire, is seeking a Live-in Temporary Housekeeper/Cook to start ASAP.  This is for our client who use this residence as their main home but sometimes travels to their property in Switzerland. It is a 6-bedroom home on 15 acres near Gerrards Cross (only 20 minutes on a train to Marylebone). Working days are mainly Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work.  You must be willing to feed the dogs on the weekends when the employer is not in residence.

Living in the property is 1 adult (plus extended family visit from time to time – 3 adult children and 1 grandchild). There is also a German Shepard dog which will need to be cared for too, walking and feeding, he a very important member of the family.

General duties required:

• Cleaning (dusting and hoovering) all bathrooms, bedrooms, and living areas, including unused rooms on a regular basis
• Cleaning inside windows
• Maintaining good hygiene practices in the kitchen
• Awareness of stock control and checking foods for sell-by dates
• Laundry, washing, and ironing
• Cooking healthy, family meals
• Food shopping
• Feeding, grooming and walking the German Shepherd dog
• Willing to dog sit and stay on the premises at the weekends when the employer is travelling or away

Candidate details:

• High calibre, pro-active with the ability to undertake tasks without supervision
• Must be comfortable with German Shepherd dogs - well trained and mannered
• Non smoker preferred
• Enjoy walking and the outdoors
• Ability to be flexible with working hours when family members stay
• Must have verifiable references
• Driver with a clean licence (car provided for running errands)

Accommodation: Self-contained and separate one bedroom dwelling. Furnished with own entrance
Salary: £22-£23gph
Contract length: 3-6months
Working days & hours: Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work. Minimum 30hours per week but this could be more depending on the principal’s schedule so flexibility is key.
