Our client, based in the scenic Scottish Highlands, is seeking a Temporary Domestic Couple with the potential to extend up to 6 months. This is a live-in role with accommodation provided on the estate.

The couple will work as House & Grounds Managers, responsible for the smooth running of the property—both inside and out. This includes maintaining the home and contents, managing the grounds and gardens, caring for animals, and supporting the principals when in residence.

Key Responsibilities:

General Duties

• Daily care of dogs: feeding, grooming, walking, and general wellbeing
• Ensure dog-friendly areas are safe and clean
• Assist with chicken care (feeding, egg collection)
• Maintain security of the estate: daily checks of windows, doors, locks, and monitoring CCTV
• Prepare the property for principal and guest arrivals/departures
• Drive the family as required (e.g. to/from train station or airport)
• Vehicle maintenance: cleaning, fuelling, MOTs, etc
• Organise and supervise contractors or tradespeople
• Manage house systems: biomass pellet boiler, water systems, appliances, septic tank flow
• Light handyman duties as skills allow
• Household rubbish management

Interior Duties

• Full cleaning and upkeep of the property
• Laundry and ironing of clothing and linens
• Wardrobe management and packing/unpacking assistance
• Care of houseplants and flower arrangements
• Stock household supplies (cleaning products, logs, toiletries, etc)
• Occasional meal preparation (e.g. for late arrivals or after travel)

Exterior Duties

• Grass cutting and grounds maintenance
• Care and upkeep of hot tub, sauna, BBQ huts, and "sitooterie"
• Manage sprinkler system, garden lighting, and automatic gates
• Driveway maintenance and gravel grooming
• Maintain outdoor furniture, fencing, flowerpots, etc
• Support specialist gardeners with heavier work when needed

Candidate Requirements

• Both individuals must hold a full, clean UK driving licence
• Previous experience in housekeeping and estate/grounds maintenance
• High level of flexibility and a proactive attitude
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Discreet, trustworthy, and able to work independently
