Senior Travelling Housekeeper / Cook

Location: Milan, Italy (October – April) & Ibiza, Spain (May – October)
Hours: Full-time, seasonal structure (see schedule below)

A private Principal is seeking an experienced, hands-on Senior Housekeeper / Cook to support two primary residences in Milan (winter base) and Ibiza (summer base).

This is a long-term opportunity for a stable, energetic, and discreet professional who can operate autonomously, maintain exceptionally high housekeeping standards, and prepare fresh daily meals. The role is operational and hands-on, suited to someone who enjoys managing a home independently while adapting to a seasonal lifestyle.

Location & Seasonal Structure
October – April (Milan)

•  3-bedroom apartment
•  Principal in residence approximately 3 days per week on average
•  Live-in or live-out option available
•  Lower-intensity period
•  Private bedroom with ensuite bathroom provided if live-in (with kitchen access)
•  Typically 1–2 people in residence

Working Schedule in Milan:

•  Approximately 3–4 days per week
•  Maximum 10 hours per day
•  Schedule aligned with the Principal’s presence (may include weekends)

Focus in Milan:

•  Full housekeeping and maintaining the apartment to a high standard
•  Laundry, ironing, and wardrobe care (including seasonal organisation)
•  Grocery shopping and provisioning
•  Cooking breakfast, lunch, and dinner when the Principal is in residence (simple, healthy meals such as fish, steak, chicken, vegetables and balanced dishes)
•  Preparing the property ahead of arrivals
•  Light household administration (supplies, maintenance coordination)

When the Principal is travelling, workload reduces accordingly and presence may not be required.

May – October (Ibiza)

•  5-bedroom private villa
•  Live-in position with private bedroom, ensuite bathroom and direct garden access
•  Kitchen access provided
•  Higher-intensity period
•  Principal and partner mostly in residence
•  Occasional gatherings with friends and family

Working Schedule in Ibiza:

•  6 days per week
•  Approximately 10 hours per day

Focus in Ibiza:

•  Maintaining impeccable housekeeping standards throughout the villa
•  Cooking daily meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) when the Principal is in residence, focusing on fresh, healthy cuisine
•  Overseeing seasonal support staff when required
•  Coordinating cleaners or temporary staff during busier periods
•  Managing household supplies and inventory
•  Coordinating maintenance, garden and pool services

During the Ibiza season, one return flight home every six weeks will be provided, with travel covered by the Principal.

Occasional Travel

•  Occasional short trips to the Principal’s London property may be required
•  Driving licence is a plus, particularly for Ibiza

Key Responsibilities in the role

•  High-level housekeeping across both residences
•  Laundry and wardrobe management
•  Daily cooking when the Principal is in residence
•  Grocery shopping, provisioning and inventory management
•  Preparing homes ahead of arrivals
•  Managing temporary or seasonal staff in Ibiza
•  Coordinating contractors and suppliers
•  Maintaining discretion, organisation and privacy at all times

Candidate Requirements

•  Proven experience working in long-term private household roles
•  Strong hands-on housekeeping background
•  Confident cooking simple, fresh daily meals independently
•  Comfortable working independently and managing a household autonomously
•  Flexible with seasonal relocation between Milan and Ibiza
•  Energetic, proactive and efficient, particularly during the Ibiza season
•  Italian fluent; English required; Spanish a plus
•  EU passport / right to work in the EU
