Travelling Housekeeper
Location: Henley on Thames
Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 (depending on experience)
Accommodation: Provided (rent-free; council tax and water covered, plus service allowance)
Reporting to: Head Butler & Head Housekeeper

Overview

An exceptional opportunity has arisen for an experienced Travelling Housekeeper to join a highly professional, formal household team at a large traditional country estate. This role is based at the estate but requires regular travel with the core travelling team (Head Butler, Chef, Lady’s Maid), to international family residences.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver immaculate housekeeping to the highest formal standards
• Travel with principals to various global residences
• Work collaboratively within an established team or independently when needed
• Maintain discretion, professionalism, and attention to detail at all times
• Support the smooth running of both main estate and secondary residences

Candidate Requirements

• UK resident
• Proven experience in a high-level private household or similar formal environment
• Strong eye for detail and commitment to excellence
• Discreet, conscientious, and adaptable
• Fluent English speaker
• Full driving licence and own vehicle
• Flexible with working hours and travel commitments
• Able to integrate seamlessly into a structured, professional team

Additional Information

• A minimum of 3 years previous experience in an UHNW Country Estate role
• Availability over Christmas and New Year is required  
• Role best suited to a candidate who is flexible with multiple trips throughout the year
• Longevity in previous roles is highly desirable
