Live-In Housekeeper / Cook

Location: Vauxhall, London
Start Date: 21st December
Pets: Two small dogs
Accommodation: Private entrance with private bedroom and bathroom
Cooking: General cooking with occasional entertaining (eg small groups, New Year gathering)
Schedule: 5 days per week
Core Hours: Approx. 2.00/3.00pm–10.00/11.00pm (flexibility required)

Working Pattern:

• When the Principal is in residence, working days will include weekends
• When the Principal is not in residence, schedule will be Monday–Friday, with weekends off

Role Overview

A professional, Live-in Housekeeper/Cook is sought for a private residence in Vauxhall. The ideal candidate will take pride in their work, be confident preparing daily meals, and able to support with occasional entertaining. This role requires a discreet, service-focused individual with a flexible attitude and a long-term mindset.

Key Duties

• Daily housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, and wardrobe care
• Cooking fresh meals for the Principal; occasional catering for small groups
• Grocery shopping, stock management and household supplies
• Running errands as required
• Care and feeding of two small dogs; occasional pet support
• Maintaining a well-organised, calm, and welcoming home environment
• Flexibility to adjust hours/days according to the Principal’s schedule

Requirements

• Previous experience in private households as a Housekeeper/Cook
• Ability to cook a variety of fresh meals and cater for small groups when needed
• Excellent attention to detail and high housekeeping standards
• Discreet, professional, reliable, and well-presented
• Confident with laundry, wardrobe care, home organisation, and independent working
• Pet-friendly and comfortable helping with small dogs
• Strong communication skills and proactive approach
