POSITION OVERVIEW

A private Italian family is seeking an experienced, warm and dedicated Rota Nanny to join their household in The Bahamas.

The family consists of two children, aged 5 and 7, with a private Driver, Home Tutor, Family Chef and Housekeeper already employed. The successful candidate will join a small and well-established household team, taking full responsibility for the children's day-to-day care, wellbeing and routine during their rotation.

This is a live-in, rotational position, working approximately 40–50 days on duty followed by an equivalent period off, alternating with a second Nanny to ensure consistent and attentive care for the children.

Private staff accommodation will be provided during the working rotation.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Taking full responsibility for the children's day-to-day care, wellbeing and routine
• Managing the children's daily agenda, including activities, playdates, outings, play and downtime
• Organising and supervising age-appropriate social activities, playdates and parties
• Managing all aspects of the children's personal care, including bathing, dressing, hygiene and general wellbeing
• Maintaining and organising the children's wardrobes and packing for family travel
• Accompanying the children on trips, outings and travel as required by the family
• Working closely with the Private Driver and Home Tutor to ensure the children's daily schedules run smoothly
• Keeping the children's bedrooms, playrooms and personal spaces organised and tidy, liaising with the Housekeeper as required
• Maintaining a consistent routine and providing a nurturing, stimulating and positive environment
• Keeping the parents informed of the children's routine, progress, development and any concerns
• Providing a detailed and thorough handover to the incoming Nanny at the end of each rotation
• Working collaboratively with the wider household team while maintaining discretion and confidentiality at all times

REQUIREMENTS

• Proven experience working as a Nanny, ideally with children of a similar age
• A warm, nurturing and engaging personality with excellent childcare instincts
• Comfortable and experienced with a live-in, rotational position involving extended periods away from home
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills
• Calm, patient and proactive, with the ability to use initiative
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a professional household team
• Fluent English speaking is preferred
• Paediatric First Aid/CPR qualification, or willingness to obtain
• Flexibility to travel internationally with the family
• Excellent checkable references
• Up to date DBS / Clean background check
• High level of discretion and confidentiality appropriate to a private household
