A private family in St Johns Wood, London is seeking an experienced, discreet and highly reliable chauffeur with strong security awareness for a long-term position. The principal focus of the role is the safe, punctual and professional transportation of the family's children, including school runs, after-school activities and other family driving requirements. There are 3 children, aged between 5 - 10.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe, smooth and punctual transportation for the children to and from school, activities, appointments and other engagements
• Plan routes intelligently around Central London traffic and changing schedules
• Maintain a calm, discreet and professional manner at all times
• Exercise excellent judgement regarding the safety and security of the children while in transit and during collections and drop-offs
• Maintain all family vehicles to an exceptional standard of cleanliness, presentation and readiness, and promptly flag servicing, maintenance or other vehicle requirements
• Remain flexible when family schedules change and communicate clearly regarding timings and logistics
• Undertake occasional evening driving, including potential late Saturday duties
• Maintain strong security awareness at all times and exercise sound judgement regarding the safety, privacy and security of the family
• Accompany the family as required and provide discreet, attentive support throughout journeys and engagements
• Assist with arrivals and departures, including opening doors, handling luggage and providing general practical household support where appropriate
• Support the wider family, nannies and wider household team as required, working collaboratively and professionally
• Maintain all family vehicles to an exceptional standard, ensuring they are clean, fuelled or charged, properly presented and ready for use at all times
• Plan routes efficiently and demonstrate excellent knowledge of London, including alternative routes and the ability to adapt quickly to traffic and schedule changes
• Be proactive and attentive, anticipating the family's needs and remaining available and responsive throughout working hours

Candidate Profile

• Substantial professional driving experience, ideally as a private family chauffeur, executive chauffeur or security/protective driver
• Excellent knowledge of Central London and confidence driving in busy urban conditions
• A strong safety mindset, discretion, reliability, punctuality and sound judgement
• Experience working around children and families is strongly preferred
• Close-protection, protective-driving, police, military or other relevant security experience is highly desirable
• A clean and professional presentation with appropriate boundaries and confidentiality
• Excellent references and willingness to undergo appropriate background and driving-licence checks

Working Pattern

• Term time: approximately 7:45 a.m. to 7:45 p.m., six days per week
• The working day includes the morning school run, afternoon school collection, transport to activities and returning the children home
• The day's duties finish once the last child requiring transport is safely home, subject to any pre-arranged evening driving
• There may be a late Saturday night and, occasionally, one additional late evening during the week
• School holidays: five days per week with substantially reduced and more relaxed hours
• The salary remains £70,000 per year throughout the year, including the lighter school-holiday schedule

Trial: must be available for a 14 day trial, prior to employment
