An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Butler to join a private client based in Italy.  This is a live-out position so the candidate will need to be living in the local area of the residence or willing to relocate.  If relocating, then the client can assist over a 3-month period until a residence has been found.

We require a candidate with previous private house experience who can multi-task and prioritise duties. This will be a varied role that will require you to put your knowledge and expertise in motion to ensure the smooth running of the household and to ensure all guests' needs are always met.

Duties will include:

• Manage all wardrobes throughout the year, rotating seasonal clothing as required
• Overseeing dry-cleaning requirements, and monitoring garments that go in/out of the property
• Assist with laundry, pressing of clothing and garment care, along with the shoe polishing
• Packing and unpacking of suitcases for travel
• Running daily errands
• Meeting and greeting guests
• Setting the table and providing assistance with meal service/setup
• Shopping for groceries and overseeing the rotation of perishable items
• Ensuring that all toiletries, medication, cleaning products, and consumables are always fully stocked
• Supporting the housekeeping team where required to maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the property
• Being the main point of contact for contractors within the property

Candidate Requirements:

• You must always be well-presented, wearing a standard uniform during the working day
• If you have facial hair, it must be well maintained
• On occasions, alternative dress may be required, for example when attending formal engagements or travelling overseas
• Good time management skills
• In-depth knowledge of butler skills; It is expected that any formal training will be renewed as required by law
• Work together with the other staff members, and carry out all duties required, including housekeeping, drivers, security staff, who may all work alongside you on occasions
• Adhere to all Health and Safety requirements in all duties
• In-depth knowledge of etiquette protocol with family and visitors
• Flexibility in terms of shift times, which will be in accordance with the Family’s requirements
• Italian speaking is essential for this role
• Travel to the London residence will be required for up to 3 months

Working days: Monday to Friday, and Monday to Saturday alternate weeks
Working hours: 11.00am – 9.00pm
