Job Title: Housekeeper/Cook
Location: Central London (near Warwick Avenue Station)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £55,000 – £60,000 gross per annum (PAYE) + Benefits (including BUPA)
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am – 6pm

Overview

An experienced and proactive Housekeeper/Cook is required for a large, five-storey family residence in Central London. This is a fully staffed HNW household, and the role calls for a candidate who is highly organised, flexible, and able to anticipate the needs of the principals. The family are frequently in and out of residence and require someone with initiative, excellent attention to detail, and a “happy-to-help” attitude.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping to ensure the property is always clean, tidy, and guest-ready
• Stock management: keeping the fridge replenished for the family and guests, as well as maintaining back stock (lightbulbs, household supplies, etc.)
• General cooking as required: preparing light meals, children’s meals, cooking for principals and guests, and daily tasks such as smoothie preparation (not fine dining, just general household meals)
• Wardrobe management and packing/unpacking for principals ahead of travel
• Overseeing tradespeople and contractors entering the property
• Liaising with the housekeeper in another residence to coordinate children’s arrangements
• Providing support for three children when in residence (ensuring spaces are tidy, meals/snacks prepared, laundry and general support)
• Pet-friendly duties: being comfortable around two dogs and assisting with their needs as required

Candidate Requirements

• Previous experience working in a HNW or fully staffed household
• Strong housekeeping and cooking skills with the ability to adapt to family needs
• Highly organised, proactive, and able to take initiative
• Flexible, professional, and calm under pressure
• Confident in wardrobe management and packing
• Dog-friendly and child-friendly
