Live-Out Housekeeper / Cook
Location: Berkshire
Salary: Circa £40,000 GPA dependent on experience 
Working Schedule: 5 days per week, typically 08:00–17:00, with weekend flexibility
Start Date: Flexible

A welcoming private household in Berkshire is seeking an experienced Housekeeper / Cook to care for a beautiful six-bedroom Georgian home set within a 150+ acre estate.

You will join a friendly, established team in an informal environment, with the opportunity to take on a varied, long-term role in a beautiful rural setting.

Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping and upkeep of a six-bedroom, eight-bathroom property
• Occasional deep cleaning and care of artwork, antiques and delicate furnishings
• Family laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• Preparing fresh, wholesome family meals, making use of produce from the kitchen garden and orchard
• Maintaining household supplies and ensuring the home is well organised
• Occasional light gardening, if of interest

Candidate Requirements

• Previous private household or high-standard housekeeping experience
• Confident family cooking skills
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Trustworthy, discreet, proactive and flexible
• Full, clean driving licence
• Animal-friendly, as there are dogs on the estate
• Excellent, checkable references; verbal references will be obtained
• Fluent English and non-smoker preferred
