Kitchen Porter
Location: Belgravia, London
Working days: 5 days- rolling rota- 2 consecutive days off
Working hours: 9 working hours plus a 1-hour break (10 hours on site)
Shifts: Mon 10:00–20:00 | Tue 10:00–20:00 | Wed 11:00–21:00 | Thu OFF | Fri OFF | Sat 11:00–21:00 | Sun 11:00–21:00
Salary: £34,000+ GPA

Our UHNW clients in Belgravia are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join their team, following instructions from the Head Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for keeping  the kitchen and the wider back of house clean, safe, organised and ready for service at all times. The role supports the chefs, butlers and every other department, and makes sure deliveries, waste and staff facilities are handled properly and discreetly.

Duties

• Follow the daily and weekly cleaning schedules and check that standards are met
• Keep the kitchen clean, tidy and ready for service throughout the shift, including floors, work surfaces, sinks, walls and equipment
• Clean and maintain the staff canteen daily, including tables, chairs, floors, fridges, microwaves, sinks and surfaces
• Receive deliveries for all departments, checking them against the order or delivery note for quantity, quality and condition
• Check temperatures on chilled and frozen goods, and reject anything that does not meet standards
• Log all deliveries and pass them to the right department or person promptly
• Report equipment faults, hygiene issues and staffing concerns to the Head Kitchen Porter

Essential

• Previous experience as a kitchen porter in a hotel, restaurant or similar environment
• Good knowledge of cleaning standards and food hygiene
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work flexibly, including weekends
• Discreet, trustworthy and comfortable working within a private household
• Good communication skills in English and a positive team attitude
• Right to work in the UK

Desirable

• Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate (or willingness to complete one)
• Experience of goods receiving and stock rotation
