Live-in Domestic Couple – Full Time

Accommodation: Beautiful separate 2-bedroom cottage (no pets or dependants)
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (flexibility for occasional weekends)

Overview
A delightful family of five based in Surrey are seeking a warm-hearted, discreet, and professional live-in Domestic Couple to join their small, friendly team of household staff. This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced couple who thrive in a busy family environment, enjoy varied responsibilities, and take pride in delivering exceptional standards of care within a private household.

Housekeeper
Key Responsibilities

• All aspects of housekeeping across the residence, maintaining exceptional cleanliness and presentation
• Specialist care for fine furnishings, antiques, and delicate materials
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe management, and changing bed linens
• Reheating and serving meals prepared by the Chef
• Preparing simple meals for the children when required
• Pet care, including walking and feeding the family’s dogs
• Occasional child-sitting when needed
• Supporting the smooth running of the household in a proactive, adaptable manner

Groundsman / Handyman
Key Responsibilities

• Regular mowing and lawn care
• General garden maintenance to keep all areas beautifully presented (working alongside team of groundsman)
• Seasonal tasks including snow and leaf clearance
• Basic machinery upkeep and maintenance
• Ad-hoc handyman tasks as required inside and outside the property
• Working independently and using initiative to keep grounds to an excellent standard
• Occasional driving duties
• Knowledge of and managing security

Essential Skills & Requirements (Both Candidates)

• Experience in a similar role within a private household
• Calm, discreet, and able to understand household boundaries
• Pet-friendly (the family have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and farm animals including alpacas)
• Full, clean driving licence
• Clean DBS
• Strong work ethic, “muck-in” attitude, and ability to work as part of a team
• High standards of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
• Experience caring for fine furnishings and antiques
• Legal right to work in the UK
