Overview
A warm and down-to-earth private household in Berkshire is seeking an experienced and dedicated Domestic Couple to support the smooth running of a beautiful 6-bedroom Georgian home set within a stunning 150+ acre estate.

The property includes woodland, a lake, tenanted properties, and a unique collection of outdoor sculptures. You will be working alongside a long-standing and collaborative estate team in a friendly, informal environment.

The Role
As a couple, you will take responsibility for the interior care of the home while also supporting the wider estate operations.

Housekeeper / Cook (Partner 1)

• Daily cleaning and upkeep of a 6-bedroom, 8-bathroom property
• Occasional deep cleaning
• Care and maintenance of high-value art and antiques
• Family laundry and wardrobe care
• Preparing wholesome, healthy family meals
• Utilising produce from the kitchen garden and orchard
• Optional involvement in light gardening duties (if of interest)

Grounds / Estate Support (Partner 2)

• Hands-on grounds and garden maintenance across the 150+ acre estate
• Supporting the Farm Manager and Head Gardener
• Assisting the Estate Manager with general upkeep and maintenance coordination
• Maintenance of estate facilities including gym and indoor swimming pool
• Seasonal tasks such as log preparation
• Car cleaning and window cleaning
• General all-round estate support (no formal horticultural qualifications required)

Candidate Profile

• Proven experience working together as a Domestic Couple within a private household
• Comfortable in an informal, family-oriented environment
• One partner experienced in housekeeping and family cooking
• One partner experienced in groundskeeping, gardening, or estate maintenance
• Both candidates must be confident drivers
• Animal-friendly (dogs on the estate)
• Excellent, checkable references (verbal references will be obtained)
• Fluent English speakers preferred
• Trustworthy, reliable, and discreet
• Proactive, flexible, and positive with a can-do attitude
• Non-smokers preferred

Working Schedule

• 5 days per week, typically 08:00 – 17:00
• Weekend work required on a rota basis
• When the principals are travelling, the role typically reverts to Monday–Friday
