Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week (flexibility for occasional weekends)

A delightful family of five based in Surrey are seeking a warm-hearted, discreet, and professional live-in Domestic Couple to join their small, friendly team of household staff.  This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced couple who thrive in a busy family environment, enjoy varied responsibilities, and take pride in delivering exceptional standards of care within a private household.

Housekeeper / Cook - Key Responsibilities

• Daily housekeeping, cleaning and presentation of the home
• Laundry, ironing, wardrobe and linen care
• Care of fine furnishings, antiques and household contents
• Preparing family breakfasts, lunches and suppers
• Menu planning, shopping, food storage and kitchen organisation
• Batch cooking and meal preparation for family use
• Preparing the house for guests, entertaining and special occasions
• Assisting with the day-to-day care of household pets
• Supporting the smooth running of the household

Groundsman / Handyman - Key Responsibilities

• Daily care and welfare of horses, alpacas, chickens, peacocks, sheep, dogs and other animals
• Dog walking and maintenance of paddocks, stables, shelters and animal facilities
• Routine estate maintenance, repairs, fencing and handyman tasks
• Vehicle, trailer and equipment care, servicing coordination and workshop organisation
• Estate presentation including paths, terraces, driveways, woodland walks and outdoor entertaining areas
• Grounds maintenance, mowing, weed control and seasonal clearance works
• Monitoring buildings, infrastructure and estate security
• Assisting and liaising with contractors, ensuring works are completed to a high standard
• Caring for the estate during family absences and acting as key holders

Requirements (Both Candidates)

• Experience in a similar role within a private household
• Calm, discreet, and able to understand household boundaries
• Pet-friendly (the family have 2 dogs, 2 cats, and farm animals including alpacas)
• Full, clean driving licence
• Clean DBS
• Strong work ethic, “muck-in” attitude, and ability to work as part of a team
• High standards of professionalism, reliability, and confidentiality
• Experience caring for fine furnishings and antiques
• Legal right to work in the UK
