Our client is seeking an experienced and proactive Domestic Couple to join and support the running of their beautiful private residence in the Lake District. This is a fantastic long-term opportunity for a couple looking to become an integral part of a welcoming household, maintaining the property to an exceptional standard.

The successful couple will consist of an experienced Estate Manager and Housekeeper, who are both hands-on, flexible and take pride in delivering a first-class service.

Estate Manager Duties

• General property and estate maintenance
• Groundskeeping and seasonal garden upkeep
• Routine property inspections and minor repairs
• Liaising with and overseeing external contractors
• Monitoring the security of the property and outbuildings
• Chauffeuring the principals and guests as required
• Vehicle care and maintenance
• Assisting with the care of the family's animals when required

Housekeeper Duties

• Housekeeping and cleaning to an exceptional standard
• Laundry, ironing and wardrobe care
• Bed making and linen changes
• Kitchen and bathroom cleaning
• Household stock management
• Preparing guest accommodation
• Occasional meal preparation
• Receiving deliveries and reporting maintenance issues
• Assisting with the care of the family's animals as required

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience working within a private household or country estate
• Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
• Professional, discreet and trustworthy
• Flexible and willing to adapt to the needs of the household
• Animal lovers who are comfortable assisting with the care of the family's pets
• Unfortunately no pets permitted within the accommodation
• Full UK driving licence (essential for the Estate Manager)

Hours

Estate Manager: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm, with a one-hour lunch break and flexibility when required

Housekeeper: 20–25 hours per week (to be confirmed), with flexibility to meet the needs of the household

Package

• Live-in accommodation provided
• The recently renovated live in accommodation is within the grounds and consists of master bedroom and ensuite, two further bedrooms (one double and one single) with a family bathroom including bath and shower
• There is a household vehicle to use as and when necessary to perform duties
• Joint salary of £65,000 per annum
• Permanent, long-term position
