Private family seeks a part-time, Live-out Housekeeper (Monday – Friday) to assist with the daily care of their Upper East Side residence. 

This is a part-time, live-out position, 3-4 days per week, approximately 25 hours per week.  The hours are flexible.  Family consists of two adults. Guests, including 1-3 of their adult children, do visit.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• All aspects of general housekeeping which include daily tidying, heavy cleaning, and an organisation of the residence.
• Doing laundry, ironing, and facilitating incoming and outgoing clothing for dry cleaning.
• Management and organisation of kitchen, drawers, closets, and pantries etc.
• Personal Chef cooks majority of food. Occasional basic meal prep is needed (cuisine: heart-healthy – must be able to follow dietary restrictions and cooking requirements).
• Cooking and serving at both small and large-scale events. For some events you will be working alongside other wait staff, and the food will be catered.  
• In charge of grocery shopping, stocking the pantry, and running errands as needed.

Requirements:

• Excellent references required from current and previous employers.
• Minimum 5 years' related work experience in a private home or estate.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Very strong fluency in/command of the English language preferred.
• Must be hands-on with positive attitude, high energy, and strong work ethic.
• Good organisational skills.
• Ideal candidate is professional, non-obtrusive, and highly trustworthy.
• Legally able to work in the United States.
• Must submit to a background test.

Employee is responsible for paying all employee taxes (appropriate legal taxes will be deducted as required by law). Net “take home pay” will be very competitive for the market.
