Our client in Great Haseley is seeking a Live-in Housekeeper/Cook for their lovely, calm, and quiet family weekend house, which is only used 20-25 weekends a year.

This UK family is fair and friendly, with grown-up children who enjoy the country on occasional weekends. It is mainly the two principals that visit.  There is no formal entertaining, although some cooking skills or a keen interest in cooking are preferred.

Key responsibilities:

• Maintaining the house to a high standard
• All housekeeping and deep cleaning
• Any laundry and ironing, mainly when the family are in residence
• Family style cooking
• Occasional assistance to the part-time Gardener

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience in a role of this nature
• Longevity within previous positions is important to the client; their previous Domestic Couple stayed with them for 12 years
• A keen interest in cooking, able to cook family style meals confidently
• Someone who enjoys a small amount of gardening within a role

Start: July 2025

Accommodation: Private self-contained two-bedroom flat and kitchen with private entrance, and use of a car for work (all bills covered). Open minded to pets & children.
Proximity to local schools and town is good. Car for work is included.

Working hours: 9.00am–5.00pm, Monday – Friday when the family aren’t in residence; weekends required, with a Tuesday and Wednesday off, when the family are in the property.

Salary: Market rates according to experience & skills
