Schedule:

• Monday – Friday, 7:00am – 7:00pm (12 hours per day)
• The family is happy to discuss and potentially adjust the schedule once the successful candidate is settled into the position
• Alternative Schedule: Monday – Saturday, 13 hours per day

Accommodation: Private bedroom and bathroom within the family home
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 gross per annum

Overview
A private household in Knightsbridge, is seeking an experienced and reliable Housekeeper/Cook to join their household on a long-term basis.
The successful candidate will work alongside another Live-In Housekeeper and will play an important role in maintaining the household to an exceptionally high standard. The position will involve comprehensive housekeeping, laundry and ironing, including the care of finer garments, as well as preparing breakfast and dinner for the principals.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintaining the household to an exceptionally high standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Working alongside the other Housekeeper to ensure the smooth running of the home
• Taking initiative and identifying tasks that require attention
• Managing the household laundry and ironing
• Ensuring clothing and linens are appropriately cared for, folded and stored
• Preparing and serving breakfast and dinner
• Keeping the kitchen clean, organised and well maintained
• Assisting with grocery shopping and maintaining food provisions as required
• Providing occasional/ad hoc assistance with walking the household's two small dogs
• Helping to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the household
• Maintaining a calm, professional and helpful approach within the home
• Maintaining complete discretion and confidentiality at all times

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a Housekeeper/Cook within a private household
• Excellent housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills
• Confident preparing breakfast and dinner to a good standard
• Chinese cooking skills would be a significant advantage
• Mandarin-speaking candidates would be a bonus but not essential
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
• Organised, proactive and able to work independently
• Comfortable working as part of a small household team
• Dog-friendly
