Live-In Housekeeper/Cook
Location: Tuscany, Italy and Paphos, Cyprus
Schedule:

• Monday - Friday. 8hrs a day. 8:30 - 13:30 and 17:00 - 20:00
• Weekends off
• The position follows a seasonal schedule between Italy and Cyprus, with eight weeks of paid leave in July and August

Accommodation: a large bedroom with en-suite in Italy. In Cyprus, a private room within the villa, and the use of the principals flat when they are not in residence

Overview
A private household is seeking an experienced, reliable and proactive Housekeeper/Cook to support a couple across their residences in Tuscany, Italy, and Paphos, Cyprus.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the homes to a high standard, carrying out all housekeeping and laundry duties, preparing meals and assisting with light garden work at the Tuscan property during spring and autumn. The candidate must be comfortable around dogs and happy to travel between the couple's homes in accordance with their seasonal schedule.

This is an opportunity for an experienced housekeeper seeking a long-term position within a private household, with excellent accommodation and meals provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining the properties to an excellent standard of cleanliness and presentation
• Undertaking all housekeeping duties, including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming and general household upkeep
• Managing laundry, washing, ironing and clothing care
• Preparing and cooking daily meals for the principals
• Assisting with light gardening duties at the Tuscan property during spring and autumn
• Comfortable around the household's two dogs
• Travelling between the properties in Italy and Cyprus in line with the principals' schedule
• Ensuring the properties are well maintained, organised and ready for the principals' arrival
• Carrying out any other reasonable household duties as required

Requirements

• A minimum of five years' experience working as a live-in housekeeper in private households
• Excellent references from previous private employers, which the agency and family can contact
• A valid EU passport, as the role involves working in Italy and Cyprus
• Good spoken English
• Strong housekeeping, laundry and ironing skills
• Confident cooking abilities
• Comfortable around dogs (the family have two dogs)
• A valid driving licence, ideally an EU licence, would be a strong advantage due to the rural location of the Tuscan property
• Willingness and flexibility to travel between Italy and Cyprus
• A professional, discreet, organised and flexible approach, with the ability to work independently
